Beautifully crafted clover leaf pendant in 14 carat white gold with three green diamonds. The Irish cloverleaf pendant comes with a matching necklace.

The three-leaf clover (shamrock) is definitely one of the national symbols of Ireland. Legend has it that St. Patrick explained the Trinity to the High King Laoghaire by means of a three-leaved shamrock. The three leaves symbolised God, Son and Holy Spirit. According to the legend the king then allowed St. Patrick to spread Christianity. The three-leaf clover also represents a cross. But clover played an important role on the Emerald Isle long before Christianity. For example, crushed clover rubbed on the eyes was supposed to make visible a fairy island, which is supposedly located between Rathin Island and the north coast of Ireland.
