Beautifully crafted Claddagh ring made of 10 carat gold. In Ireland the Claddagh ring is a famous engagement and wedding ring. Behind the famous ring is an Irish legend.
A fisher once was about to be married to his love. Yet, shortly before the wedding, he was abducted by pirates roaming the Western Irish coast. He was sold into slavery and ended up as a servant to an Arabian goldsmith. There he learned this craft and his master took the oath that when he would forge a beautiful masterpiece then he would let him be free. Hence the Irish man crafted a ring which is today known as Claddagh ring. He then went home and finally married his love. They lived happily ever after.
The symbols of the Claddagh ring, the heart, crown and hands have a meaning. The heart stands for eternal love, the hands for friendship and the crown for loyalty.
